IML sold its first torque transducer to this industry in 1984 and has continued to assist with product development ever since. IML's first 25,000 rpm torque transducer was made for space shuttle fuel pump development in 1989.

Two non-standard transducers for this industry are shown here.

The upper picture shows a clamp-on torque transducer for wing flap actuator development and the lower one, a semi-special splined transducer made for an aircraft manufacturer in Holland.
