IML sold its first torque transducer to this industry in 1984 and has continued to assist with product development ever since. IML`s first 25,000 rpm torque transducer was made for space shuttle fuel pump development in 1989.

Two non-standard transducers for this industry are shown here.

The upper picture shows a clamp-on torque transducer for wing flap actuator development and the lower one, a semi-special splined transducer made for an aircraft manufacturer in Holland.
